“Every 4 weeks? What is my skin actually getting out of another facial?” It's a fair question! I recommend a Glo2 facial every 4 weeks for most clients, with timing tailored to your skin, routine and goals. You want smoother skin, a brighter complexion and makeup that sits beautifully—not just another appointment on your calendar. Here's what we're working toward each time you come back.
Your skin is always renewing itself. That process is called skin cell turnover: new cells form deeper in your epidermis, travel toward the surface and eventually shed. When dead skin cells linger, you can notice dull skin and uneven skin texture. Thoughtfully chosen exfoliation helps remove that surface buildup—not force your skin onto a faster renewal clock.
“How long is a skin cycle?” you may ask. The familiar 28-day figure is a simplification; renewal varies with age and skin condition, and your whole face doesn't start a new cycle on the same day. My four-week recommendation is a treatment rhythm—not a claim that everyone's skin renews on an identical clock.
Glo2 is one of the main ways I put that consistent care to work—not the only one. Other treatments in your personalized plan can also address exfoliation and skin renewal; the right choice depends on your skin and your goals. With Glo2, customized Oxfoliation addresses dull surface buildup, while ultrasound helps the selected serum penetrate the skin to support hydration. The benefit? A brighter, smoother, more hydrated-looking complexion—and a treatment we can adjust as your skin responds.
A personalized skincare plan connects your professional facial treatments with what you do at home. We choose your next appointment by looking at your treatment response—not simply repeating the same facial because another month has passed.
- Britt recommends a Glo2 facial every 4 weeks for most clients, individualized as needed.
- Britt recommends Glo2 with dermaplaning every 4 weeks for suitable skin, for a smoother finish and makeup application.
- Irritation, retinoids and recent procedures can change when your next appointment belongs.
- Consistency includes home care—not just booking more facials.
- At Britt D Aesthetics, Glo2 appointments build an ongoing skin plan, starting with your first visit.
How often should you get a Glo2 facial?
For Glo2 facial frequency, every 4 weeks is my usual starting recommendation. If you're searching for a Glo2Facial treatment schedule, that's where I start—not with a one-size-fits-all rule. Monthly facials give us a facial maintenance plan we can adjust around your skin concerns, home skincare routine and treatment response.
At Britt D Aesthetics, that can start with The Signature Glo, a 30-minute appointment. You don't have to arrive with a complicated routine or already know which OxyPod you need. We start with your skin, then choose the treatment around it.
The manufacturer's Glo2Facial treatment guidance, checked on November 1, 2026, describes a 4–6-week treatment interval depending on skin goals. My usual four-week recommendation sits within that range. Neither schedule overrides irritation or another provider's recovery instructions.
Here's how I want you to think about the timing:
| Your situation | My starting approach | What needs checking |
|---|---|---|
| You're beginning an ongoing skin plan | Glo2 every 4 weeks for most clients | Your goals, current routine and response to your first visit |
| You want to maintain smoother, brighter-looking skin | Keep a consistent, individualized rhythm | What lasts well between visits and what still bothers you |
| Your skin is stinging, peeling or irritated | Contact me before repeating treatment | Whether we need to adjust or postpone the appointment |
| You've had another procedure | Coordinate the timing before booking | The procedure, recovery and treating clinician's instructions |
The calendar helps us stay consistent. Your skin still gets the final say.
Why consistency matters more than chasing the glow
I love that freshly treated feeling, too! But I don't want your entire skin plan to depend on how your face looks immediately after an appointment.
A Glo2 facial brings together customized exfoliation, oxygenation, ultrasound-assisted serum penetration and massage. The immediate finish is one part of the experience. What happens afterward—your comfort, your routine and how your skin behaves—helps shape the next visit.
A regular appointment gives us a chance to ask better questions than, did you like your glow?
- Did your skin feel comfortable afterward?
- Was the surface smoother when you applied makeup?
- Did your usual products feel comfortable when you restarted them?
- Has dryness, sensitivity or another concern changed?
- What would you like us to focus on next?
That's how we move from a facial you enjoyed to a plan you understand. You don't need to notice something dramatic every time for those conversations to matter.
And no, this isn't a promise that monthly Glo2 will erase every concern. Deep scarring, persistent inflammation and conditions requiring medical care need more than a recurring facial appointment.
How long do Glo2 facial results last?
My published Signature Glo guidance describes results typically lasting 4–6 weeks. That's an expectation, not an expiration date for your skin or a guarantee that every benefit lasts equally long.
Your makeup might sit more smoothly while another concern still needs ongoing attention. Your skin can also feel different after a change in products, weather or another treatment. Tell me about those changes instead of deciding your facial stopped working.
The 4–6-week result window and my usual 4-week recommendation answer different questions:
- How long results last: a general description of how long the visible benefits can remain noticeable.
- When to return: a personalized plan for maintaining care and checking your progress.
You don't need to wait until your skin feels rough again before thinking about the next visit. But you also don't need an earlier appointment just because you aren't seeing the exact same finish you saw when you left the studio.
The goal is consistent care—not keeping your face frozen at its post-facial moment.
Does every monthly Glo2 maintenance treatment need to be the same?
Not at all. Your facial frequency and your treatment customization are separate decisions: a consistent rhythm doesn't mean an identical treatment. Think of regular Glo2 appointments as personalized skincare maintenance, with room to adjust what your skin needs.
OxyPod choice and strength help me personalize the exfoliation step. Dehydrated skin, uneven skin tone, rough texture and sensitive skin each need a conversation about what is suitable today. Is skin hydration your priority, or are you more concerned about dullness and uneven texture? Tell me whether you're noticing tightness or discomfort, too; I want to understand your skin concerns before choosing your treatment.
Glo2 sensations vary, too. You might feel light, bubbly tingling or a much more active sensation, depending on the person and pod strength. Don't use a stronger sensation as proof that this appointment is doing more for you.
The ultrasound step helps your selected serum penetrate the skin. The massage tip is used in lymphatic drainage motions—that's why you may see the word “detox” associated with it, not because the facial removes toxins from your body.
Those steps give the treatment more purpose than simply removing surface buildup. If you'd like the full explanation, read what a Glo2 facial is.
Should you add dermaplaning every 4 weeks?
In my opinion, yes—for suitable skin, I recommend pairing dermaplaning with your Glo2 facial every 4 weeks. If rough texture or peach fuzz keeps your makeup from sitting the way you want, this is where the pairing really earns its place!
Dermaplaning removes superficial dead skin and fine facial hair. That helps create the smooth finish you're looking for, with less surface texture for makeup to catch on. Glo2 brings customized Oxfoliation, oxygenation, ultrasound-assisted serum penetration and massage to the same appointment.
Glo2 and dermaplaning go together like peanut butter and jelly. They do complementary jobs: dermaplaning addresses surface buildup and peach fuzz, while Glo2 adds personalized treatment and hydration. Together, we're working toward smoother, brighter, more refreshed-looking skin—not just removing hair.
Coming back every 4 weeks gives us a consistent opportunity to maintain that smooth finish and review your progress. I still assess your skin each time: irritated or compromised skin needs an adjusted plan, and I don't dermaplane over active inflammatory breakouts.
New to both? My guide to the best facial for first-time clients in Mooresville explains why I start with Glo2 and when dermaplaning belongs alongside it.
What affects your Glo2 facial treatment frequency?
A good plan has room to respond to real life. Your Glo2 facial treatment interval depends on skin sensitivity, skincare products, recent procedures and how you responded last time. These are the details I want to hear about before we repeat your treatment.
Your skin is irritated
Stinging, soreness, unusual peeling or persistent redness are reasons to contact me—not reasons to book more exfoliation to smooth everything away.
Tell me when it started and what you've used. We can decide whether the planned appointment needs to change. Significant or worsening symptoms need medical assessment rather than another facial.
You've changed your routine
A new retinol, an exfoliating acid or a prescribed acne product can change the conversation even if you've used similar ingredients before. Product names and timing are more helpful than describing everything as gentle.
Please don't leave something out because you think it doesn't count. A photo of the label is fine; you don't need to memorize the ingredients!
You've had another treatment
Tell me about injectables, peels, lasers, surgery and other procedures, including treatments received somewhere else. Their recovery requirements still matter when you're planning Glo2.
My published Signature Glo preparation guidance includes avoiding surgical procedures or ablative lasers for 6 weeks beforehand, and neurotoxins, injectables, chemical peels or aggressive exfoliation for 2 weeks beforehand. Those intervals aren't automatic clearance; follow the treating clinician's instructions and let me review the actual procedure.
Your health circumstances have changed
Share relevant health changes, medications and pregnancy before treatment. Pregnant clients need medical clearance from their pregnancy care provider before a Glo2 appointment at my studio.
That clearance doesn't make every pod or added treatment suitable. We still review the individual components.
Your goals have changed
Perhaps your original priority was dullness, but now you're more bothered by surface texture. Tell me! A useful plan should reflect what you're noticing, not just repeat the concern written down at your first appointment.
Can you get Glo2 more often than monthly?
Yes—when I recommend a shorter interval after assessing your skin and goals. My published Signature Glo guidance allows appointments as often as once a week when we're working on a specific concern; that's an individualized treatment plan, not a weekly recommendation for everyone.
Before shortening your Glo2 treatment interval, I review:
- The concern we're addressing and what progress we're looking for.
- How your skin responded to the previous appointment, including redness, peeling or discomfort.
- Your home skincare routine, retinoid use and any recent procedures.
- Which treatment components are suitable at the next visit.
More frequent Glo2 doesn't automatically mean more frequent dermaplaning. And if your skin is irritated, the answer can be postponing exfoliation—not bringing your appointment forward. Let's choose your next visit together rather than booking extra treatments just because the initial glow has faded.
What Glo2 facial aftercare should you follow between appointments?
Your Glo2 facial aftercare and daily skincare routine help connect one appointment to the next. This is where consistency becomes something you do for yourself, not just something you book.
Your at-home skincare routine belongs alongside your facial maintenance plan: gentle cleansing, a suitable moisturizer and daily sun protection. Take makeup off before bed without scrubbing, and leave breakouts alone instead of picking at them. Avoid over-exfoliation—more acids or scrubbing between professional treatments isn't the goal.
For daily sun protection, the American Academy of Dermatology's sunscreen guidance, checked on November 1, 2026, recommends SPF 30 or higher and explains that SPF 30 filters 97% of UVB rays. That figure describes sunscreen protection—not a Glo2 treatment result. Sunscreen doesn't filter every UVB ray, so shade and sun-protective clothing matter, too.
For The Signature Glo, my current instructions include:
- Stop topical retinoids at least 3 days before the appointment.
- Avoid AHAs, BHAs, retinol, benzoyl peroxide and topical acne medications for at least 3 days afterward.
- Avoid tanning, aggressive exfoliation, scratching and picking for 1 week afterward.
- Reapply SPF every 2 hours in direct sunlight for 1 week after treatment.
If a product is prescribed, consult your prescriber before changing how you use it. Follow the instructions for your actual appointment; extra treatment components can change preparation and aftercare.
My Glo2 facial preparation guide walks through that conversation in more detail. You don't need to overprepare your skin to deserve a facial.
What if you miss your monthly appointment?
You haven't failed your skin plan. Contact me, let me know what's changed and we'll choose a sensible next appointment.
Don't try to make up for the gap with an at-home peel, extra scrubbing or closely packed treatments. A missed visit doesn't tell us what your skin can tolerate today.
At Britt D Aesthetics, I'd rather help you find a rhythm you can realistically maintain than have you feel embarrassed about returning. Bring your current routine and your questions. We start from there.

How long do Glo2 facial results last?
Britt's published Signature Glo guidance describes results typically lasting 4–6 weeks. Individual results vary, and that window isn't a guarantee or an automatic rebooking rule.
Can I get a Glo2 facial every week?
Weekly Glo2 is an option only when Britt recommends it after assessing your skin, goals and response to treatment. It isn't the default maintenance schedule, and dermaplaning and other additions are assessed separately.
Should I add dermaplaning to every Glo2 facial?
Yes—Britt recommends pairing dermaplaning with Glo2 every 4 weeks for suitable skin. The pairing addresses superficial dead skin and peach fuzz for a smoother finish and smoother makeup application; skin suitability is reviewed at each visit.
Can I have Glo2 if I used retinol recently?
Tell Britt which retinoid you used and when before treatment. Her Signature Glo instructions say to stop topical retinoids at least 3 days beforehand; consult your prescriber before changing prescription skincare.
Should I book another Glo2 facial if my skin is peeling?
Contact Britt before booking more exfoliation for peeling or irritated skin. The planned treatment may need adjusting or postponing, and significant or worsening symptoms need medical assessment.
Do I need monthly facials before I can start a skin plan?
No—you can start with your first appointment. Britt uses that visit to understand your skin and help choose a realistic ongoing rhythm; you don't need a perfect routine to begin.
Can I get Glo2 while pregnant?
Pregnant clients need medical clearance from their pregnancy care provider before Glo2 at Britt D Aesthetics. Individual treatment components still require a suitability review.
One last thing: consistency isn't the same as doing more
My Glo2 recommendation is every 4 weeks for most clients—not every time you spot something you want to fix. We can care about progress without asking your skin to tolerate more and more.
At Britt D Aesthetics, your Glo2 facial belongs in a plan that makes sense for your skin and your life. If you're in Mooresville or Lake Norman and want help finding your starting point, explore The Glo Collection or begin with The Skin Story consultation. I'd love to help you build that rhythm!
